VMware goes flash with 3i
If you haven’t heard yet, VMWare announced their newest product at VMWorld 2007: ESX Server 3i. If you are familiar with ESX they you know how much of a pain it was to install, configure, and update. VMWare has tried to eliminate all of the hassles of the past with 3i. It comes on a custom flash chip or on a USB stick. It’s foot print? 32 MB. What does this mean for Corporate America? Saved dollars on hard drives, which equates to saved dollars on power, which more dollars to spend on IT pro’s salaries.
