Jailbroken iPhones Might Not Work With SDK

If you rushed into jailbreaking your 1.1.3 firmware you might be in for a bit of a surprise. The guys over at iPhone Atlas have made a good point in one of their blog posts, namely that people who rushed into jailbreaking 1.1.3 might just be screwing themselves up later. The jailbreaking process disables a relevant parts of the devices’ OS called Nikita, which helps with future third part apps.

While it’s not yet confirmed if jailbreaking legit third-party apps from installing or running, it is something to definitely consider when deciding to jailbreak or not.

    This might backfire on apple as many devs might choose to not go the apple store route and might just choose to forgo Apple. It may just depend who has the best killer apps first.
