iPhone Modem App
iPhone Modem, a jailbroken app for your iPhone, promises 10 second iPhone tethering. The app, which can be download to jailbroken phone via the Cydia application repository, allows you to tether your iPhone to your Mac so that you can use the EDGE or 3G of your phone to surf the internet. I don’t own an iPhone, so I can’t really say if this work as advertised, but if it does it would offer yet another functional use of your iPhone.
You might want to be careful with this one. If AT&T is watching, they can come down on you hard for using something like this, but for casual and light surfing this would be perfect.
