Life Size R2D2 Mod
I have seen many mods in my time, but this life size R2D2 computer case mod has to take the cake.
An 80 gallon drum, some paint, a Webber BBQ grill, a dremel, some fans, and obviously the internals from a computer, and a Vapochill cooling unit that is rated at a chilling -52 you too can build this 100 lbs bad boy.
This is what I call hardcore dedication. I’m not sure how long a project this would take but from experience I’d be willing to say this cost a pretty penny and took a few months to put together.
If you are a hardcore Star Wars fan than this one’s for you. Unfortunately my home office is as tiny as tiny can be and I only have room for my laptop otherwise I’d consider building this, but only consider.
There is a pretty detailed gallery of pictures on the process here, but no details on how to build your own. From all of the pictures I’m sure you could figure it out if you had the will and a shit-load of free time.
