NESTari – NES Atari portable mashup

Benjamin Heckendorn (aka “Ben Heck”) is the master of console mode. Ben has created a portable unit that combines an NES system and an Atari 2600 console and he crammed them together into one compact and slick package.

This little bad boy dubbed the NESTari can play cartridge games from either system. In order to keep the footprint small, Ben’s latest mod uses the guts of an Atari Flashback 2 console and a NOAC (NES on a chip). This keeps the system nice and small and very power-efficient.

It’s got a 3.5-inch LCD, runs on rechargeable batteries, and has all the controls that you need to rock the good old Pitfall game.
