Fully mechanical Pong – No TV
In the day of portable electronics, complete gaming systems in your pocket, hell, even gaming on your cell phone, it’s nice to see someone build a video game that is entirely mechanical and contains no TV or microcontroller.
PongMechanic (video at the end) was built by a German guy and is a real life version of the old school pong game, except this bad boy has no TV and actually uses paddles and a whole bunch of moving mechanical components. This is the type of thing that would be awesome at parties. I don’t speak or read German, but you really don’t need to once you see this puppy in action, plus, there are subtitles!
