Google gPhone set to launch in 15 days
A popular Indian newspaper is reporting that google’s entry into the cell phone market, the gPhone, will launch within the next 15 days. The search engine heavy weight has already started talks with various service providers in India for an exclusive launch on one of their networks. A simultaneous launch across North America and Europe is also planned.
Google plans on investing an insane $7-8 billion on the gPhone roll out. It’s also believed to be in talks with providers to offer other services including Instant Messaging and Search functions.
If these rumours are true, the gPhone should give Apple’s prize possession, the iPhone a serious run for its money.
